Birth Preparation & Hypnobirthing Classes

I will work with you and your birth partner in your home, one-to-one, over at least four sessions, giving you a tailored understanding of everything you can expect on your journey to birth, from pain management to communicating with your medical support team. I will help you to identify and dispel your fears, so that you can arrive at your birth with the knowledge and tools to birth in peace. We will look at the different types of breathing and relaxation, supported with guided hypnobirthing scripts and other resources. You will receive the KGH book, link to the mp3 tracks, and a folder of scripts, exercises, and information for you to use together as a hypnobirthing team.

Birth Doula Support

Once you have decided that I am the doula for you we will meet for 2 antenatal meetings to discuss all your hopes and fears for this exciting step in your life. I will answer all your questions and you can decide how I can support you and your partner best. I have many resources, and can signpost you to anything that I cannot provide. You can contact me all the way through your pregnancy, and at 38 weeks I am on call 24/7 just for you.
I will be wherever you need me during your birth, bringing any comfort tools with me, be that massage, aromatherapy, birth balls, space holding or anything else.
Once you have birthed your baby I will be there to support you to establish feeding and bonding, get you settled and then I will leave you to enjoy each other.
Once you are settled at home I will visit you for the last time for your birth completion, where we can reminisce on how everything went, and you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions.

Postnatal Doula Support

The first few weeks of being a new parent is a powerful and demanding experience, and your baby is your number one priority. Sometimes we all need an extra pair of hands. I will come and support you in any way that I can, so you can take care of yourself and your new little one. That may be watching other siblings so that you can concentrate on your newborn, putting a load of washing on, walking the dog, or watching your baby so that you can get some well-earned rest. If you need a little guidance in learning new skills, we can do it together. If you're finding things a bit overwhelming, I will do what I can to help. I am here for you.
